To celebrate Batman’s 75th Anniversary this year, SingPost along with Singapore Philatelic Museum (SPM) collaborated to present – The League Against Evil: A DC Super Heroes Exhibition and DC Justice League & Batman 75th Anniversary MyStamp Collection. We were honoured to have with us at the event Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Second Minister for Ministry of Communications and Information to officiate the launch which was held on the 5th of June 2014, along with many other press members & trade partners to celebrate the special moment.
The League Against Evil: A DC Super Heroes Exhibition – The FIRST and ONLY DC Comics Super Heroes exhibition held in Asia in conjunction with Warner Bros.’ celebration of the 75th Anniversary of DC Comics Super Hero, BATMAN. The exhibition showcases stamps from Singapore Philatelic Museums’ permanent collection as well as original comic artworks and collectibles on loan from collectors. Through stamps, artworks of comic pages, collectibles of figurines and models, the exhibition aims to excite visitors to delve into the history and world of the DC Comics Super Heroes.
DC Justice League & Batman 75th Anniversary MyStamp Collection – SingPost released a limited edition DC Justice League & Batman 75th Anniversary MyStamp Collection for the avid DC Comic fans and stamp collectors. The “DC Justice League MyStamp Book” (S$69.90) will showcase some of your favourite DC characters, including SUPERMAN, BATMAN, THE FLASH, WONDER WOMAN and GREEN LANTERN, while “The Batman 75th anniversary” MyStamp collection(S$49.90) showcases the Super Hero’s journey intimately with an A3 sheet that features 75 most popular BATMAN comic book covers in the form of stamps.
To top it off, the night ended with a special appearance of the cape crusader himself. BATMAN never looked better in his 75 years of crime fighting.
